All-Star Weekend Spherical 1 Recap – Disc Golf Professional Tour

The highest disc golfers have been again in motion with the beginning of All-Star Weekend on Saturday. The highest 8 women and men on the earth battled in a doubles format on a safari course at Fountain Hills Disc Golf. The primary 9 holes used a “greatest shot” format, whereas the second loop used a “robust shot” format.

In the course of the first 9 holes, one of the best shot format allowed the opponents alternatives to be extra aggressive and allowed for some highlight-reel pictures.

There was little separation available between the groups after the primary loop of 9 holes. The second loop supplied much less scoring alternatives and rewarded constant play.

On the ladies’s facet, Catrina Allen and Kona Panis led the best way with strong play that gave them the commanding lead, ending 5-under on the day.

The All-Stars will maintain their scores going into Sunday’s singles spherical, that means that the teammates will now be pitted towards one another. Paige Pierce and Heather Younger will be part of Allen and Panis on the lead card and shall be 7 strokes behind after taking pictures 2-over par.

The highest 6 males are deadlocked going into Sunday with 3 groups, Paul/James, Calvin/Garrett, and Eagle/Chris, every ending the day 4-under. Ricky Wysocki and Kevin Jones struggled through the “robust shot” portion of the day and shall be 4 strokes behind after ending even par.
